You are cracking me up here Michael, having been in the computer biz since the early 80s I have similar meeting big iron recollections. My fave was the the first time I did a demo for GE aircraft on a Mac SE of the ability to copy and paste data out of a terminal session. They were floored, do that again they said. They still did not believe it, not until I saved the file restarted and opened it again did they believe it. It was a watershed moment, I guess the same as we face here.

We have come alone way in 25 years, it's sometimes tough for us "digital immigrants" to understand how easy it is for "digital natives" who were born into it, they just accept and immerse themselves in new tech.

I also have trouble getting some of it, justifying the time investment, I get blogging, I get the facebook concept but I still don't like the format and look, It's still evolving though, at least it looks better than that mess of a mash-up myspace. I still don't get why, in this age of identity theft, unless you are promoting a biz, why you would want to put up a facebook page. It seems so unsecure.

Twitter I don't get, it appears so "self absorbent" so, I am so important you should follow me around!

Good luck, if I do a facebook page I'll friend you but don't look for any tweets from me.

Too funny! It took me a while to figure out the value of blogging. Still working on figuring out what twitter can do for me.
